Availability update

Happy to report that updated versions of all my books with my real name on them are now on DTRPG and Itch.io

The print versions are unfortunately temporarily out-of-print, while I sort a move and DTRPG's proofing process.

The Github repo has also been taken private. It was never a good solution anyway, they are very cranky about filesizes, and the PDFs are all PWYW anyway. Perhaps someday in the future I'll find a better host for the raw files than just pointing to random Dropbox links, but for now, it's just easier to stick with the PDFs being the "canonical" resource for everyone.

Thanks also to Io Black, who was kind enough to lend his Photoshop skills to getting the cover designs dusted off and updated. Check out his excellent post-Soviet cyberpunk comic, Drugs & Wires.

My games are now on itch.io

Just for funsies, spent a little time this morning putting together all my games as a collection on itch.io.

This isn't necessarily any declaration of intent just yet, but I've increasingly had a lot of grumbles over the years with DTRPG, as I've documented here before, so now I've got a backup.

Going forward, if I do release anything else, the digital versions will at a minimum get a simultaneous release on my itch.io page.

Happy Pride!

The name of "Bedroom Wall Press" originally stemmed from a Richard Hammond quote, describing a car as "cool enough to have a poster of on your bedroom wall as a kid", or words to that effect. The logo itself was designed to evoke the feel of a car company logo even, taking on three of my favorite racing colors.

I'm an adult now, and queer as hell to boot, so I thought, "What else do queer folk hang on their bedroom walls, but pride flags?" So in honor of the season, I thought I'd throw together a few of mine. I've been pondering dusting off the old games, and what better way to add a touch of who I am today.

Happy Pride folks.

Hey. It's me.

Hey all.

It's been a while.

I took a long break, and this isn't necessarily me coming back but ... I'm thinking about it, but some things have changed while I've been gone, and I need to clear some stuff up.

My name is Annaia Cedric Danvers, and I am the founder of Bedroom Wall Press. A.C. for short, most likely, on any future published books.

You can think of the old one as a pen-name I wore for a while before I felt comfortable publishing in my own name. The old books will likely stay printed with the old name for now as I really am not anymore equipped to easily issue a reprint.

Whether the BWP label itself will be revived, I don't yet know, but I felt it important to clarify this and my credit on my books in the future as I've started to float my name out there a bit for possible work.

One of those places is on this fantastic list of queer creators in the tabletop industry, which you should go check out immediately and buy everyone's stuff and then hire them to make more.

Thanks for your time,
Annaia

Update on Lambda Legal campaign

It is my pleasure to announce, albeit with entirely too much delay, that we have made a donation of $84 to Lambda Legal.

With that, I am drawing the campaign to a close. Thank you to everyone who bought a BWP book and helped make this possible.

Update on BWP charitable donations

I am happy to report that thanks to your generosity, BWP has just paid another $50 dollar donation to CAIR!

With that, I am concluding the CAIR campaign, and announcing a new one. Effective immediately, all future profits from BWP book sales will be donated to Lambda Legal.

Lambda Legal, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
Lambda Legal are even now preparing to fight against Trump's grotesque and unconscionable ban on transgender troops, and I hope that I can contribute to that fight in my own small way. Trans rights are an incredibly important issue to me, and I have no doubt in my mind that this ban, along with other utterly immoral actions taken by Trump and Pence towards trans and LGBT people of all stripes this year are just the tip of the iceberg.

We must fight, on every front, to stop this fascist administration before it does any further harm. I am urging you all, even above charitable works: pressure your congressmen and women, tell them we must stop Trump before it's too late. We must put an end to this escalation of bigotry, fascism, and white supremacy, before more blood is spilled, or else Charlottesville will only be the beginning.

Thank you.

Bedroom Wall Press to Donate Sales to CAIR

BEDROOM WALL PRESS TO DONATE SALES TO CAIR

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 31st, 2017 - Effective immediately, all proceeds after cost from the sale of Bedroom Wall Press's critically-acclaimed tabletop roleplaying games will be donated to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in support of CAIR's legal action against the Trump administration's illegal, immoral, and indefensible ban on Muslim refugees.

In addition, all of Bedroom Wall Press' books including print works have been made "Pay What You Want," in order to better enable purchasers to support CAIR for as much as their wallets allow and help stop this flagrant and unjust violation of the rights of legal immigrants and refugees.

Bedroom Wall Press will continue to donate all proceeds to CAIR until such time as this deplorable and racist executive order is stopped, by whatever means necessary.

Please note that there is a minimum amount required for the purchase of print materials, as they incur print costs through DriveThruRPG's print-on-demand service.
